IFS win “Logistics Operator of the Year”

IFS Global Logistics Ltd, based in Antrim, has won one of the top titles at the prestigious annual Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards.
The company’s been named as ‘Irish Logistics Operator of the Year’ (sponsored by MAN Financial Services) and was presented with a special cut glass trophy at a glittering ceremony in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast.
IFS was established in 1967, and has become the leading privately owned IATA Freight Forwarding Group of Companies in Northern Ireland.
Formed with just a few employees, IFS Global Logistics now employs in excess of 150 people and is part of a worldwide network using some of the most advanced computer communication networks in the world.
An expert independent panel of judges were impressed with the company’s development of many end-to-end logistics services delivering world market leading solutions for multinational manufacturers around the globe. Whether it is delivering aerospace or automotive parts solutions, everything is meticulously planned and executed
The company is a winner of the Queens Award for Enterprise. Its system for bringing internationally based suppliers to their customers doorstep – it’s called Vendorvillage – is celebrating 10 years of success.
The awards ceremony – now in its seventh year – is organised annually by Export & Freight, and is recognised as the premier event in the Irish transport calendar. There are 16 categories covering every aspect of the transport and logistics sectors, with the aim of identifying the best in the industry.
