Our Story
A Legacy of Innovation and Global Reach
Founded in 1967 from the vision of our late Chairman, Mr. Walter Anderson, IFS Global Logistics began as Ireland Freight Services (IFS) with a bold mission to revolutionise the logistics industry. What started as a small operation quickly grew into a powerful force within the global logistics landscape.
In 1990, we expanded our footprint by acquiring Williames Airfreight, followed by the addition of BRS Air Cargo in 1994. These strategic moves solidified our position as Northern Ireland’s premier privately owned IATA Freight Forwarding Group, setting the stage for the exciting journey that lay ahead.
In 1998, we pushed boundaries further with the launch of IFS Courier Express, entering the world of express global courier services. This innovative service opened doors for worldwide door-to-door collections and deliveries, creating new opportunities for businesses across the globe.

Vendorvillage and Forward
At IFS, we don’t just move goods; we move industries forward. Our innovation, dedication, and relentless pursuit of improvement make us an essential partner in the success of businesses worldwide.
The real game-changer came in 1999 when we introduced “Vendorvillage” – Ireland’s first-ever approved vendor-managed inventory facility. This groundbreaking solution redefined logistics, optimising supply chains and earning us the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the process.
Today, over 57 years later, IFS Global Logistics stands stronger than ever. From our humble beginnings with just a handful of passionate employees, we’ve grown to a diverse team of over 100 experts. Our global presence is powered by cutting-edge technology, real-time tracking systems, and a commitment to service excellence that drives us forward.
