Second win for Anstey in the headline Ulster GP Superbike race!
Valvoline Racing by Padgett’s Motorcycles’ Bruce Anstey completed a fantastic double by taking the win in the shortened headline Superbike race on Saturday. The popular Kiwi has now recorded wins 3 times out of the last 5 visits since taking up with the Padgett's team and has managed to maintain his incredible record of podiums at every Ulster GP, North West 200 and Isle of Man TT for the last 14 years.
Team mate Dan Kneen took a tumble at the hairpin in the race and was unharmed other than cutting his hand picking up the bike in order to get back to the pits.
An additional celebration for Bruce's win was provided by a New Zealand spectator who performed the haka on the grid to the delight of the crowd.
Due to challenging conditions later in the day, Anstey was one among a number of riders who chose not to compete, Anstey instead turning up to the grid without a bike but a brolly in order to support his team mate. Kneen rode brilliantly on the slippery track to take 6th place and record the 3rd fastest lap time.
It's now a case of watch this space to see what's next on the team's 2015 agenda.
As always the team has worked incredibly hard to achieve its successes in 2015 and they would like to thank all their sponsors for their support and top quality products, without which, none of it would have been possible.
Finally, the team's thoughts are with the family and friends of Andy Lawson who tragically lost his life in the second Supersport race on Saturday.

Bruce Anstey wins as Guy Martin crashes out
Bruce Anstey won Thursday's Dundrod 150 Superbike race after leader Guy Martin crashed out at Ireland's Corner on the last of the scheduled six laps.
Martin's injuries were described as "not serious" by the organisers following the high-speed incident.
The result was taken from the last lap which all the competitors completed, with the Tyco BMW rider excluded.
That left New Zealander Anstey the winner by 4.77 seconds from Isle of Man competitor Conor Cummins.
The Kiwi's fastest lap was 133.49mph, just shy of his five-year-old absolute lap record for the 7.4-mile Dundrod circuit, which stands at 133.977.
Speaking about Martin's accident, Anstey commented: "Guy seemed to be struggling for grip and lost the back end and had a light high side."
The remainder of the scheduled five-race Dundrod 150 programme was scrubbed as the light began to fade around the course.
The opening event of the programme, the National race was halted because of a red-flag incident, the fifth of the day at that stage.
None of the riders involved are understood to have suffered serious injuries.
